Some things in my life have been around for awhile, and others are new. Writing on a blog and keeping it current is new. Lack of patience has always been here. In fact at one time in my career, there was a need to provide the employees on my team a symbol they could use when I was demonstrating my lack of patience. That was after my husband took a huge chance in mentioning my patience had been a little thin and he wanted to make sure I did not take it out on the team.

The idea of Dean speaking up about my lack of patience demonstrated the severity of the issue. He normally starts out a serious conversation with, “I don’t want you to take this wrong, but…..” and it can be something like he had asked me to make a phone call for two days in a row, and I had forgotten. For him to step out on a limb and actually tell me my patience was low meant it must have been really low.

So, when starting to writing a blog for the 3rd time, a self-talk about not being impatient was needed. Of course, I want my blog to go viral and have thousands of followers, instantly. Somehow, that probably will not happen. Like many other things in life, the basics of success begins with building a strong relationship. Whether the relationship is thru social media or person to person, the only relationship that is instant is a negative one. A negative relationship is not my goal.

There are many articles about using key words to get your page or blog visible to people on the web. Step one, identify the top 10 key words for today. Research showed News, Music, Photography, Life, Art ,Sports, Photos, Entertainment ,Writing, and Local.

Hmmm, instant success: tag the blog post with those words and viola` lots of visitors!  That might be true, but if it were me and I was searching for a recipe for chicken salad and a link led me to a blog site with nothing to do with chicken salad, I would not stay and read it, and most definitely not follow it. Which means my temporary solution for instant  blog stardom would not work.

What about writing on the subject of the top 10 key words? I could legitimately tag it with all of the key words. This meant I had to find a good way to incorporate all the words in to one story. Ugh! I could title the blog as “How I used News, Music, Photography, Life, Art, Sports, Photos, Entertainment, Writing, Local and Blog to Become An Instant Success”.

Gee,  the impact for that might not be optimal, so on to another idea. Write a blog about using the top 10 tags, and how it can get you noticed.  Well that has been done a time or two, so who would read it…..

With all that being said,  still no solution to becoming an instant success. BUT, I will keep writing and hopefully, I will touch on something that a person can relate to.  After all, this lady has lived a lot and hopefully has some funny stories, some fashion tips, and grandmotherly ramblings that will make someone want to  follow her.  There has been a lot of living between the Itsy, Bitsy, Polka Dot Bikini a song which was scandal-ish about a girl wearing a bikini at the beach to We Are Young with the opening talking about kids in the restroom getting high being an everyday lyric. With all that living, comes lots of stories so get ready……I’ll try to be patient, hope you will too.
