Layering Jewelry

We are all familiar with the idea of layering jewelry. You know, the adding of different lengths to provide a different look. To look taller and/or thinner, wear a long necklace. To look shorter and/or add some width to narrow shoulders, wear a chunkier choker type necklace.

Have you ever wanted to wear a specific necklace but it was too small to provide a balanced look? Try a different type of layering.  This process involves actually placing one necklace as a base unit and layering a second necklace directly on top of it.  When looking at the necklace you want to wear, compare it to other necklaces in your collection. Look at the metals, the weightiness, the colors, and size. Don’t be afraid to play around with the looks.  Mix and match your selections until you find one that looks right to you.
